FIRST GYM BATTLE EVER!!!
Mabel and her team are super excited and ready to throw down with Brock and his crew. (Which is why they're coming in with matching sweaters like bosses.)
As soon as the match starts, Mabel is going to bring Banjo out and have him use Mud-Slap first chance he gets followed by Mudshot the second round. (Assuming he manages to hold out. He's a tough little guy but he's much lower level than Brock's Pokemon.) If he makes it those two rounds, Mabel's going to pull him out and toss in Little Dipper who will use Swift first followed by Take Down on 'his' next turn! This will hopefully take the Rhyhorn out which means next up is the Golem!
Mabel's going to leave Little Dipper in to start, having 'him' use Swift again before having her best little buddy use Confuse Ray! This will be where she switches in Tabby Puss who is going to attack with Fake Out on his first turn which will cause the Golem to switch, sparing Tabby a hit the first round. From here he's going to attack with a one-two combo over the next two rounds using Feint Attack and Slash to hopefully put the Golem down, toughing out the onslaught of the other Pokemon's attacks because of his affection for Mabel.
And then there's Onix.
Saving her best for last, Mabel is going to have Jungle Jim take on Brock's last Pokemon because she knows that her Tropius has the advantage here! (She's been reading!!!) She's going to have Jim use Razor Leaf first before having him slamming the poor Onix with a Leaf Tornado--if it comes to it.
After that match, win or lose, Mabel has a present for Brock!!! She made him a sweater with a bunch of rocks on it that says "You ROCK!" on it. (She worked on it the whole way through Viridian Forest~) \o/

It PROBABLY DOESN'T HELP that Karkat has been equating the whole "trainer" gig with being a lusus; in this scenario, Merope is the zookeeper and Karkat is the unruly wild animal she's mysteriously responsible for even as he protects, mentors, and guides her. Troll custodianship sure is weird! She's also sort of adopted Dave; he gave her a domino mask that would make her "a hundred percent braver," and she's taken this to heart despite all evidence to the contrary + screams when anyone tries to take it away from her. For the most part, though, she's very quiet, supportive, and willing to turn her DEVASTATING VOCAL PROWESS to yelling at anyone she's upset with (usually Karkat but occasionally Zaniah and Pounce)." Moon (level 15) | August 6th, 2018 Diamond might be a bit of a Prima donna. Just a little. She just wants to be recognized as the amazing creature she is and showered with adoration and love. She craves the spotlight and having fans and she wants to travel and be recognized! Good thing Mabel and Dipper ended up on Mt. Moon when they did, huh? This Onix was on the verge of throwing herself dramatically on a couch when Mabel ended up finding her and oh did the little girl fall in love pretty quickly. The pair bonded immediately and Mabel was more than happy to shower Diamond with all the love that she wanted and she even has fans now in Mabel's team! (A few at least. Some of the resident Pokemon aren't that impressed with her antics.) Diamond's antics have only gotten worse since she and Mabel won their category in the Contest Spectacular. She's even more of a Primma Donna now and thinks that she can do absolutely no wrong whatsoever. You want her time? You better be worth it, simpleton! |

He was clearly born a trouble maker and has no qualms about getting up to no good wherever he goes, quite content to swipe things he likes whenever he feels like it just because he can. Now, that doesn't mean he's a complete jerk! Pussywillow is extremely fond of Mabel and brings her back all sorts of gifts whenever he wanders off (she never questions where they come from okay it's just better that way) because she's adorable and allows him to have a cat gang. What better trainer could he ask for?? After Mabel disappeared Pussywillow ended up at the ranch and waited for her returned rather than wandering off into the wilds, knowing that the rambunctious little girl just had to return one day. When she finally did he was ready to rejoin her team and start up his antics again as leader of the Cat Crew with Miss Bonnie at his side, the pair slowly amassing more and more followers as Mabel's time in the Pokemon world continues. |

It was a a long, grueling search and Mabel pulled out all the stops and used every trick she knew in order to lure one out, going as far as to make traps with berries to try and get herself one. Finally her hard work paid off and on their last day in the city Mabel finally landed herself this precious little pig spring! Bouncy, as he's now called, is an adorable little guy that is extremely shy and likes to stay out of the limelight if possible. He's a little bit clumsy and tends to get tripped over if there's too much stuff in his path but he does his best and Mabel is always there to help! She absolutely adores Bouncy and more often than not he's in her main team while traveling. (Right alongside Hambone whom he seems to have bonded well with.) It took some time but eventually Bouncy decided he was ready to evolve, Roomba the Swinub and Mabel there to cheer him on as he did. Now a Grumpig, Bouncy is still as bashful as ever but he's definitely not as clumsy as he was since he's not constantly bouncing all over the place--though he's definitely got a constantly skip in his step. |

Princess Chomper hatched ready to cause trouble and have fun doing it and, needless to say, Mabel absolutely adores her. Dubbing her a princess because she absolutely is, Mabel dotes on this little Gible as much as she can though she also makes sure to teach her proper manners because princesses don't bite unless they absolutely have to! (Plus she promised Bert that she wouldn't let her knew Pokemon pick up any bad habits.) Princess Chomper is a little angel whenever her trainer is around but the second Mabel turns her back? Watch out because this little Gible will target whoever is close by and will ruin their entire day with a well placed Body Slam or Tackle. |

Actually she might have gotten Dipper in trouble as well. See, she found out about the "Skitty Lady" and upon seeing what Skitties looked like she couldn't control herself. Stuffing her sweater full of the little pink fluff balls, the little girl took off with her brother in tow, attempting to escape the town just as Grunkle Stan had taught her! Unfortunately the twins were caught by local law enforcement and the Skitties were returned to their proper residence. All but this one, that is. Toefluff McWigglebottom was the runt of this current litter and Mabel was able to hide the Skitty in her hair. She's a sassy little thing that refuses to respond to anything but her given name, even if Mabel has taken to calling her Miss Bonnie since she's a criminal now, too! |

This little fox is a very playful little thing and immediately stole some of the yarn that Mabel had gotten to make sweaters with, taking off with it to play finders keepers in the dump. Thankfully she's still young so she wore out pretty quick but Mabel has to keep a close eye on her because she seems to have a nasty of habit of wanting to swipe things and hide them all over the place. Despite that little quirk Snowcone is a genuinely sweet little girl, fluffier than normal and seems to prance when she walks which delights Mabel to no end. Mabel has already started to introduce Snowcone to the idea of accessorizing and have no doubts there will be a lot of hair clips in this little fox's future! |

Calling him Wwiam (pronounced Wiam) for short, Mabel often carries him around on her head, the little guy waving his tiny arms at everyone they come across. When he's not busy waving at everyone he's usually stuffing his face, particularly fond of sweet things and Mabel is more than happy to indulge him in that! When it comes time to curl up and sleep at night Wwiam is usually snuggled right up against her like Waddles use to do at home, little tentacles wrapped gently around her neck while they snore the night away. |

Mermando is even more special than Mabel was expecting and the attention and praise is something he absolutely soaks up and enjoys. He's a sassy little thing that loves attention and to show off, striking poses whenever someone even glances at him and yes, sweetie, take a picture if you want. It lasts longer~ He isn't a mean Pokemon, though, and seems intent to doll up Mabel's other Pokemon whenever he can and seems to especially adore Mabel which she is absolutely okay with! |

Dubbing him Edgar Collins after one of her favorite characters in a vampire romance novel, Mabel immediately introduced him to Wwiam and the pair have become fast friends. Whenever they're out, Edgar can be found dozing on Wwiam's shell or playing games with his shelly friend, quite pleased to have someone as silly as he is around! |

She loves donating her wool to gift giving causes and is always the first member of Mabel's small flock to volunteer for sweater making weekends, happily spending hours upon hours munching on poffins while her trainer creates beautiful sweaters for her friends. The Sandygast had just been minding his own business when the boys starting bullying it and Mabel, with the help of Diamond, Jeff, Tabby Puss and Mermando, saved the little sandcastle. (It was mostly Jeff the Drifloon who ended up chasing the two boys all over the beach and it was HILARIOUS.) Once she was sure the Sandygast was okay, Mabel managed to coax it close with some poffins and befriended it, immediately growing fond of the odd little thing. It was clear the little guy was lonely and Mabel was quick to invite him to join her team, giving him some seashells to decorate himself with as a "Welcome to the Team!" gift. Doozer is still rather shy around most of the team but he's slowly settling in and generally tends to stick close to Jeff whenever he can. (He might be crushing on the other ghost a little bit.) |

So once she and Dipper got to Viridian Forest Mabel had been keeping her eyes peeled since it was the perfect place for such creatures to be hiding out. A good call on her part. This pair of sisters got spooked when Grendo and Banjo were rough housing during some training and ended up on top of Jungle Jim in their attempt to get away from the chaos. Mabel climbed up and managed to calm them down, eventually coaxing them into her lap with some berries and eventually the pair decided she was pretty alright. Now apart of Mabel's party, she's working on pitching the idea of one of them going to spend some time with Newt as a surprise for her friend. |

Well, SHE didn't get in a cat fight...but her Pokemon did! Pussywillow and Miss Bonnie were just minding their own business and making eyes at one another when this Glameow decided to cause some trouble and try to sway Miss Bonnie his way. This, of course, upset Pussywillow who was making the moves on the sassy little skitty so the pair ended up fighting and it was only because of Grendo the Heracross stepping in and Mabel putting her foot down that the spitting felines finally stopped. Despite the obvious rivalry, Mabel decided to keep the Glameow in her team, determined to make him and Pussywillow get along. Now dubbed Sassafras, the sly feline is playing nice and leaving Miss Bonnie to her beau for the time being...but he does seem to be trying to win all the other Pokemon on the team to his side. Trying to turn them against Pussywillow? Maybe. |

Not that she doesn't love to play or train! But DD definitely has priorities and those priorities are living the easy life and enjoying the simple things--like fancy plastic jewelry and music! This little glam-asaur has a small backpack of play jewelry that's all hers that she loves to dress up in whenever she gets the chance and she loves dressing up others as well! She's slowly amassing a collection of hair clips as well that she can't use on herself but many of Mabel's furry Pokemon find themselves sporting whenever DD gets in the mood for makeovers. She's clearly destined to be a stylist and the next time a contest comes around, DD is going to be there to help! |

Since the moment she hatched all she wanted to do was give people sloppy kisses and cuddle with them, viewing herself as totally lap dog size even though she really, really isn't. Mabel loves to hug her giant puppy and disappear into Cayenne's fluff, the pair happy to just flop in a pile on chilly nights and read books together--along with some of the other team-members of course! While Cayenne is very happy-go-lucky she definitely has the endurance to be a battler and Mabel has been actively training her so she can try and take on more of the gyms! (She wants to be prepared after all!) Cayenne is slowly but surely proving herself in the ring and seems to really enjoy going head to head with others, just as long as she gets to give them kisses when it's all said and done. |

Mabel had been aware of their existence for awhile but she hadn't been able to get one for herself--UNTIL NOW. Thanks to Armin breeding a bunch of Pokemon she secured herself one of the adorable little things and thus Roomba joined her team! She's an extremely easy going little pig that loves to scurry about and munch on berries before settling down for a nap. Not much seems to get her jazzed up, which is totally fine with Mabel because she's just happy to have a Swinub finally!! Roomba and Bouncy the Spoink have become quick friends, much to Mabel's delight, and where one goes the other follows. (Usually because Roomba is cleaning up whatever mess Bouncy has accidentally made.) |
